July 2026 — LucidDaily launches
A fourth account family with daily payout requests, no funded consistency rule, and checkout-customizable risk: pick Intraday or End-of-Day eval drawdown and toggle the Daily Loss Limit on or off. DLL on + Intraday drawdown = the cheapest ticket ($100 for the 25K). Funded is always intraday trailing. Full rules below.
Why Lucid Trading Rules Stand Out
Most futures prop firms bury you in fine print: news bans, time-of-day restrictions, random rule-outs, and intraday trailing drawdown that nukes you on normal volatility. Lucid Trading built its reputation on letting normal trading happen — real scalping, news trading, holding through volatility — while keeping the risk rules readable.
The global Lucid Trading rules in 2026, verified against Lucid’s own help center:
- 4:45 PM EST flat, Monday–Friday. Open positions are auto-closed by Lucid at 4:45 PM EST — and holding past the cutoff does not fail your account. Markets reopen 6:00 PM EST Sunday–Thursday, with earlier cutoffs on CME holiday sessions.
- News trading is allowed on all accounts, including NFP, FOMC, and CPI.
- Bots and trade copiers are permitted. HFT is not, and hedging is hard-banned — including hedging across accounts.
- Genuine scalping is allowed. Microscalping is not. You get flagged if more than 50% of your profits come from trades held 5 seconds or less. Real scalpers holding trades for normal durations are fine.
- Max Loss Limit is end-of-day on every account — your trailing max loss only updates at the close, never intraday.
- Daily Loss Limits exist on Pro and Direct (50K+), but they’re soft. Hitting a DLL locks you out until the next session — it never kills the account unless you’ve also hit your Max Loss Limit. LucidFlex has no DLL at all.
If you hate surprise violations and “gotcha” rules, this is still one of the cleanest rulebooks in futures prop — but the “no daily loss limit anywhere” framing you’ll see floating around is only true for Flex. Here’s exactly how each account works.
2026 Lucid Trading Rule Changes At A Glance
Lucid restructured its lineup and its live program across 2026. The current state:
- LucidBlack is legacy. No new Black accounts are sold; existing holders keep their original rules.
- Escrow is gone from the live transition. The old escrow holdback only applies to legacy live accounts. New-program traders get the Live Bonus instead — a one-time bonus of $1,000 to $4,500 depending on size (full breakdown below).
- Five payouts, then live. Pro, Flex, and Direct all cap at 5 sim payouts per account, after which you enter the live review pool. Live transition can also come earlier at the risk team’s discretion.
- LucidDirect’s fixed 8-day wait is dead. There’s no fixed payout window on any account — you request whenever the eligibility criteria are met. The real Direct gate is a per-size profit goal, not a calendar.
- LucidMaxx is live — but invite-only. It’s an earned status for proven traders, not a product anyone can buy. Details below.
LucidPro Rules (2026): Structured Evaluation With Buffer And Consistency
LucidPro is Lucid’s main evaluation route: pass a single-phase evaluation, trade a funded simulated account, then progress to LucidLive.
LucidPro evaluation rules
- One-time fee, no monthly rebills, no time limit — take as long as you need.
- No minimum trading days — a one-day pass is possible. Hit the target, and the funded account activates within 5–30 minutes with no activation fee.
- End-of-day Max Loss Limit — the trailing max loss only updates at the close.
- Soft Daily Loss Limit on 50K and up (none on the 25K). Hitting it locks trading until the next session; it doesn’t fail the account.

| Account | Profit Target | Max Loss Limit | Daily Loss Limit | Max Size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25,000 | $1.25K | $1K | None | 2 |
| $50,000 | $3K | $2K | $1.2K | 4 |
| $100,000 | $6K | $3K | $1.8K | 6 |
| $150,000 | $9K | $4.5K | $2.7K | 10 |
LucidPro funded account rules
- 40% consistency rule: your largest single profitable day can’t exceed 40% of total profit in the payout cycle. Resets after every payout.
- Buffer = initial Max Loss Limit + $100. You can’t withdraw from the buffer: $26,100 / $52,100 / $103,100 / $154,600 by size. Trade below it after requesting a payout and the request may be denied.
- DLL graduates into LucidScale. The fixed DLL from the eval carries over until your account closes above the Initial Trail Balance — then it’s replaced by the LucidScale DLL: 60% of your highest end-of-day profit. It only ratchets up, never down.
- 90/10 profit split on all payouts.
LucidPro payout rules
- No fixed payout window. Request any day once every condition below is met — there is no “every 3 days” cycle.
- Minimum profit goal per cycle: $250 / $500 / $750 / $1,000 by account size. Resets after each payout.
- Minimum payout request: $500.
- Payout caps: first payout $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 by size; every payout after steps up to $1,500 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500.
- Processing: funds deduct from the account within minutes of approval and hit your payment method within 2 business days.
- After payout 5, you enter the live review pool.
Who LucidPro fits best: rule-driven traders who can live with 40% consistency and a buffer in exchange for the cheapest structured path to LucidLive and the Live Bonus.

LucidFlex Rules: No Daily Loss Limit And No Funded Consistency
LucidFlex is the flexible one — the only Lucid account with no DLL anywhere and zero consistency rule once funded.
LucidFlex evaluation rules
- Single-phase evaluation, one-time fee, no rebills, no time limit.
- No daily loss limit — drawdown is only calculated at the close, so intraday swings that would blow you out elsewhere are survivable if you recover by 4:45.
- 50% consistency rule in evaluation only: largest day ≤ 50% of total profit. Lucid builds cushion into the math, so a two-day pass is realistic.
- Same profit targets and Max Loss Limits as Pro ($3K target / $2K MLL on the 50K), activation within 5–30 minutes of hitting target, no activation fee.
LucidFlex funded account rules
- No daily loss limit. No consistency rule. No buffer balance. The end-of-day trailing Max Loss Limit is the only risk metric.
- 90/10 profit split on all payouts.
LucidFlex payout rules
- Two gates, that’s it: (1) five separate days at or above the minimum daily profit — $100 / $150 / $200 / $250 by size — and (2) positive net profit for the cycle. Even $1 net qualifies on gate 2, but you still can’t withdraw less than the $500 minimum payout request.
- Payout caps by size: 50% of profit up to $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000. Unlike Pro and Direct, Flex caps do not scale up with later payouts.
- No fixed payout window; funds deduct in minutes, disburse within 2 business days.
- 5 payouts maximum per account, then you’re moved live.
Who LucidFlex fits best: news traders, big-swing traders, and anyone whose intraday equity curve would trip a DLL — you trade the close, not the clock.
LucidDaily Rules: Daily Payouts, Customizable Risk, Fast Lane To Live
LucidDaily is Lucid’s newest family and the first one where YOU set the risk profile at checkout. Two toggles: eval drawdown (Intraday or End-of-Day) and Daily Loss Limit (on or off). Four combos, four prices, and the config locks the moment you buy — want a different setup, you’re buying a new account.
LucidDaily evaluation rules
- Profit target: $1.25K / $3K / $6K / $9K across the 25K–150K sizes
- Max Loss Limit: $1K / $2K / $3K / $4.5K — trails to the initial balance + $100, then locks
- 50% consistency in the eval only — largest day can’t exceed half your total profit, with a small cushion built in so a two-day pass is legit
- Daily Loss Limit (if you toggled it ON): $600 / $1.2K / $1.8K / $2.7K, fixed, soft breach — you’re locked out until the next session, not blown
- One-time fee, no rebilling, no activation fee, real-time upgrade within 5–30 minutes of hitting target
The pricing lever: DLL ON is cheaper than OFF. Intraday eval drawdown is cheaper than EOD. Cheapest combo is Intraday + DLL ON ($100 at 25K); most expensive is EOD + no DLL (—). Your DLL choice follows you into the funded account — the eval drawdown choice doesn’t, because:
LucidDaily funded account rules
- Funded is ALWAYS intraday trailing drawdown, no matter what you picked for the eval
- No consistency rule in funded. None.
- 90/10 split in your favor
- Max size —–— minis by size (10:1 micros)
- Red-folder news is a HARD BREACH. Flat from 1 minute before through 1 minute after the event — hold through it and the account is gone. This is the strictest news rule in the Lucid lineup, so if you’re a news trader, LucidDaily is not your account.
LucidDaily payout rules
- Request payouts DAILY — no payout windows, no waiting for a cycle
- Minimum $500 per request; maximum is everything above your buffer
- Buffer = starting balance + Max Loss Limit + $100 (so $26,100 on the 25K, $154,600 on the 150K)
- Need positive net profit since your last payout (even $1 counts)
- Approved payouts hit your payment method within 2 business days
- No per-request payout cap — with an asterisk you need to understand. There’s a Maximum Daily Profit ceiling (— on the 25K up to — on the 150K) — hit it in a single day and Lucid automatically moves you to live. And on that move, sim profits above the buffer pay out capped at $15,000 flat, regardless of size or how many accounts you’re running. This is the honest difference vs Take Profit Trader: TPT is uncapped with no forced transition, which is why TPT still wears the no-payout-cap crown. LucidDaily is the play if you WANT the fast lane to real capital and daily checks along the way.
LucidDirect Rules: Instant-Style Funding With Tight Consistency
LucidDirect (Straight-to-Funded) skips the evaluation entirely — you start in a funded simulated account on day one and pay for that speed with the strictest consistency rule in the lineup.

LucidDirect Payout Flow (No 8 Day Wait)
LucidDirect account structure
- No evaluation phase — funded sim from day one.
- End-of-day trailing Max Loss Limit, like every Lucid account.
- Soft Daily Loss Limit on 50K+: $1,200 / $2,100 / $3,000 (none on 25K). Above the Initial Trail Balance it converts to the LucidScale DLL — 60% of your highest end-of-day profit, ratcheting up only.
- 20% consistency rule: largest single day ≤ 20% of total cycle profit. This is the #1 reason Direct payouts get denied — one hot day can lock a whole cycle.
LucidDirect payout rules
- No fixed wait period. The old 8-day rule is gone — request any day once the cycle’s requirements are met.
- The real gate is the profit goal, not $500. First payout requires $1,500 / $3,000 / $6,000 / $9,000 in cycle profit by size; payouts 2+ require $1,250 / $2,500 / $3,500 / $4,500. ($500 is only the minimum payout request.)
- Payout caps: payouts 1–3 cap at $1,000 / $2,000 / $2,500 / $3,000; payouts 4–5 at $1,000 / $2,500 / $3,000 / $3,500.
- 5 payouts maximum, then the live review pool — on a $100K Direct that’s up to $13,500 in sim payouts before live.
Who LucidDirect fits best: disciplined grinders who want funding today and can spread profits evenly enough to survive a 20% consistency check.
LucidLive And The Live Bonus (This Replaced Escrow)
This is the part most 2025-era guides get wrong. The old escrow system — where part of your move-to-live capital was held back and earned out — only applies to legacy live accounts. Under the current program:
- You enter the live review pool after payout 5 on any account, after significant lifetime payouts, or earlier at the risk team’s discretion.
- Every eligible funded account (1+ payout) moves live together. Remaining sims are closed; funded accounts with zero payouts get the evaluation cost refunded.
- Live accounts start at $0 balance with daily payouts, EOD drawdown, no daily loss limit, and a starting live drawdown of $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 by original account size (2 / 4 / 6 / 10 minis max).
- The Max Loss Limit locks at $100 once your live profits equal your starting drawdown — from there, the account effectively can’t trail you out.
- No consistency rules at live. Ever. Regardless of which account type got you there.
- Live Bonus: hit the live target ($1,100 / $2,100 / $3,100 / $4,600) and Lucid pays a one-time bonus of $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500 per account — on every account in your first trip live. Five 50K accounts moved live = a potential $10,000 in bonus payouts. First trip only; legacy-live alumni and LucidMaxx traders aren’t eligible.
- No swing trading at live (flat by 4:45 PM EST on Tradovate, 4:15 on Rithmic), hedging live accounts is a permanent ban, and blowing a live account means a 2-week cooldown before buying a new evaluation.
What Happened To LucidBlack?
LucidBlack was Lucid’s premium evaluation — 3-day payouts, payout bonuses, no DLL, dual consistency rules. It’s now a legacy product: no new accounts are sold, existing holders keep their original rules, and resets ended in early March 2026. Its best features were folded into the revamped LucidPro and the live program above.
LucidMaxx: Invite-Only, Straight To Live, Uncapped Daily Payouts
Forget the early “premium tier anyone can buy” framing — that’s not what shipped. LucidMaxx is an earned status:
- Invite-only. Lucid’s quant risk team identifies consistently profitable traders and grants access by email. It cannot be requested or purchased publicly.
- Live capital from the moment you pass the Maxx evaluation — no sim-funded stage.
- Daily, uncapped payouts. No payout windows, no profit minimums once live, 90/10 split, up to 5 simultaneous accounts, no DLL, EOD drawdown.
For everyone else, the path is Pro, Flex, or Direct → 5 payouts → LucidLive → trade well enough that the risk team comes to you.

How To Choose The Right Lucid Account
- LucidPro if you want the cheapest structured route and can distribute profits under a 40% consistency check.
- LucidFlex if your edge lives in volatility — no DLL, no funded consistency, just don’t die at the close.
- LucidDirect if you want funding today and have the discipline for 20% consistency and real profit goals.
Because every account’s Max Loss Limit is end-of-day and every DLL is a soft breach, your job at Lucid is sizing and profit distribution — not dodging hidden rules.
Lucid Trading Rules FAQ
Does Lucid Trading have a daily loss limit?
LucidFlex has no daily loss limit at any stage. LucidPro and LucidDirect have soft DLLs on 50K accounts and up (Pro: $1,200–$2,700; Direct: $1,200–$3,000) — hitting one only locks trading until the next session and never fails the account unless the Max Loss Limit is also hit. Once funded accounts grow past their Initial Trail Balance, the fixed DLL is replaced by the LucidScale DLL: 60% of your highest end-of-day profit, which only ever increases.
What is the Lucid Trading consistency rule?
It depends on the account. LucidPro funded accounts: largest day ≤ 40% of cycle profit. LucidFlex: 50% during the evaluation only — zero consistency once funded. LucidDirect: 20%, the strictest in the lineup. Once any trader is promoted to LucidLive, consistency rules disappear entirely.
How fast are Lucid Trading payouts?
There is no fixed payout window on any Lucid account — you request a payout any day the eligibility criteria are met. Once approved, funds are deducted from the account within minutes and disbursed to your payment method within 2 business days. The minimum payout request is $500 on every account type.
What happened to Lucid Trading's escrow?
Escrow only exists on legacy live accounts. Under the current live program there is no escrow holdback — new live accounts start at $0 with a defined starting drawdown, and traders instead earn a one-time Live Bonus of $1,000 to $4,500 per account by hitting the live profit target on their first trip live.
How do you get a LucidLive account?
Each Pro, Flex, or Direct account allows a maximum of 5 payouts, after which you enter the live review pool. Every funded account with at least one payout moves live together, and the risk team can also promote traders early based on lifetime payouts or exceptional performance. Live accounts get daily payouts, EOD drawdown, no daily loss limit, and no consistency rules.
Can anyone buy LucidMaxx?
No. LucidMaxx is invite-only — Lucid's risk team grants access based on demonstrated performance, and there is no public purchase option. Maxx traders get live capital immediately after passing the Maxx evaluation, with daily uncapped payouts, no DLL, and up to 5 simultaneous accounts on a 90/10 split.
What is LucidDaily and how is it different from LucidFlex?
LucidDaily is Lucid Trading's daily-payout family launched in July 2026. Like LucidFlex it has no consistency rule in funded, but LucidDaily adds daily payout requests, checkout-customizable risk (Intraday or EOD eval drawdown, Daily Loss Limit on or off), and a fast lane to live: earn the Maximum Daily Profit for your size in one day and Lucid moves you to a live account automatically. Funded LucidDaily accounts always use an intraday trailing drawdown.
Does LucidDaily have a payout cap?
There is no per-request payout cap — minimum $500, maximum is all sim profit above your buffer (initial Max Loss Limit + $100). The ceiling works differently: each account has a Maximum Daily Profit ($6,000–$12,000 by size), and hitting it moves you to live, where sim profits above the buffer pay out capped at $15,000 flat. Take Profit Trader remains the truly uncapped option with no forced transition.
Can I trade news in a LucidDaily funded account?
No. Red-folder news trading in a LucidDaily funded account is a hard breach. You must be flat from 1 minute before through 1 minute after the event — holding or opening positions in that window breaches the account.
