DamnPropFirms Chrome Extension — Privacy Policy

The DamnPropFirms Chrome Extension (“the Extension”) is designed with user privacy as the top priority. We do not collect any personally identifiable information, do not use analytics, do not track users across websites, and do not share any data with third parties.

WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES

On supported futures prop firm websites (listed in the Chrome Web Store description), the Extension:
• Displays a small discount widget on the right edge of the page
• Detects when you’re on a checkout page (by matching URL patterns or detecting coupon-field-shaped elements in the page)
• Automatically fills the string “DGT” into detected coupon input fields when the auto-apply setting is enabled
• Clicks “Apply” or equivalent submit buttons adjacent to the coupon field

WHAT THE EXTENSION STORES (all locally, in your browser via chrome.storage.local)
• Your settings preferences (auto-apply on/off, floating widget on/off, checkout reminders on/off)
• List of prop firms you’ve dismissed for 7 days
• Vertical position of the floating widget
• Cached list of supported firms and their current deals (refreshed every 6 hours from damnpropfirms.com)

None of the above data leaves your device. No user identifier, account, or cookie is created.

WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES NOT DO
• Does not collect any personally identifiable information
• Does not read or store your name, email, passwords, or payment information
• Does not track which pages you visit (other than transient URL pattern matching to detect checkout pages)
• Does not send any user data to our servers or any third party
• Does not use analytics (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or equivalent)
• Does not use advertising pixels or conversion tracking

NETWORK ACCESS
The Extension makes one network request: a GET to
https://damnpropfirms.com/wp-json/dgt/v1/config
This fetches the public list of supported firms and current deals. The request contains no personal information, no user identifier, and no data from your device beyond a standard HTTP user-agent header.

SUPPORTED SITES
The Extension only activates on specific futures prop firm domains declared in the Chrome Web Store permissions. On all other websites, the Extension is inactive and does not read or modify any page content.

YOUR CONTROLS
• Toggle any feature off at any time in the Extension’s Settings tab
• Dismiss the widget on any site for 7 days with one click
• Uninstall the Extension at any time from chrome://extensions

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
