FTMO Futures vs FundedNext Futures, in short: at $50K, FTMO is the monthly-subscription option — Growth from $119/month with no evaluation daily loss limit and a 40% consistency rule, Pro from $139/month with a hard $1,000 daily limit and 100% of your profit withdrawable up to $5,000 a request. FundedNext is the one-time-fee option — Rapid Pro and Rapid Daily at $159 with code DGT, no consistency rule in the evaluation, a one-day pass, and payouts every three days (Pro) or every day (Daily), capped at $1,200 a request. Both are end-of-day trailing drawdown, 90% split, no activation fee, flat by 4:10 p.m. ET. FTMO brings the bigger brand and the bigger caps; FundedNext brings the faster money and a futures payout record that already exists. Which one you buy comes down to the daily-loss rule you can live with and how fast you want to be paid.
I hold funded accounts at FundedNext Futures and have been paid by them. I have not yet completed a payout cycle at FTMO Futures — the product launched out of beta on September 17, 2026, and nobody outside FTMO has. Every number below comes from the two firms’ own rules pages and pulls live from our plan database, so it stays current when either firm changes a price.
FTMO Futures vs FundedNext Futures at $50K, Side by Side
FTMO sells two accounts, Growth and Pro. FundedNext’s direct competitor is its Rapid challenge, which you buy once and then choose at checkout as Rapid Pro or Rapid Daily. These four are the like-for-like matchup — same $3,000 target, same $2,000 end-of-day drawdown, same 90% split — and they diverge on exactly three things: the fee model, the daily loss limit, and how payouts work.

Prices pull from our plan records, which we check against each firm’s checkout. FTMO has no launch promotion, so code DGT gives you FTMO’s list price today and the maximum discount whenever one exists. FundedNext’s DGT price is the discounted price; see the FundedNext discount page for the current percentage.
The Same Four Accounts at $100K
The $100K size changes the story more than you’d expect. FundedNext keeps its target at 5% ($5,000) and its drawdown at $2,500, so the target-to-drawdown ratio widens to 2:1 — the hardest pass of the four on paper. FTMO keeps 6% and scales the drawdown up, which is easier to survive but gives you a bigger number to hit.

The Trade-Off Each Firm Is Actually Selling
Both firms make you choose between a daily loss limit and something else — they just put different things on the other side of the scale.
FTMO’s choice is about the size of your payouts. Growth has no daily limit in the evaluation and a soft one once funded, but you only ever withdraw half of your profit and the cap is $2,500 a request on the 50K. Pro carries a hard daily limit at every stage — breach it and the account is gone — and in exchange you withdraw 100% of your profit up to $5,000 a request. The consistency rule (40% Growth, 50% Pro) lives in the evaluation only; once you’re Sim-Funded there is none.
FundedNext’s choice is about the funded rules. Rapid Pro has no daily loss limit anywhere, but a 40% consistency rule follows you into the funded account and you’re paid every three days. Rapid Daily puts a daily loss limit on every stage and in exchange drops consistency entirely and pays every day. The evaluation itself has no consistency rule on either path, and both are a one-day pass — hit $3,000 in a session and you’re through.
Line those up and the pattern is clear. If a hard daily limit is a dealbreaker, your options are FTMO Growth and FundedNext Rapid Pro — and of those two, only Rapid Pro carries a consistency rule after funding. If you’d rather never think about consistency, it’s FTMO (either account) or Rapid Daily — and of those, only FTMO Growth lets you trade the evaluation with no daily limit at all.
What You Actually Pay: Subscription vs One-Time Fee
FTMO bills $119 a month on Growth 50K and the subscription stops automatically the day you pass. If you pass inside the first month your total cost to funded is $119 with no activation fee — the cheapest ticket in this comparison. If you take three months, you’ve paid $357. And here’s the part traders miss: after a breach the subscription keeps billing, and your breached account is replaced with a fresh one on the next billing date. That’s a reset by another name, at the full monthly price, unless you cancel or pay the $109 reset to restart immediately.
FundedNext charges $159 once for the Rapid 50K with code DGT. Take a week or take a year — the price doesn’t move. Blow the evaluation and you pay a reset fee, priced by size, or buy a new challenge. There’s no activation fee and no monthly fee on the funded account either.
The break-even is simple: FTMO Growth is cheaper than FundedNext Rapid only if you pass in your first month. FTMO Pro at $139 is $20 cheaper than Rapid in month one and $118 more expensive by month two. If you’re the kind of trader who takes a slow, low-risk run at a target, the one-time fee wins by a distance.
Passing the Evaluation: FTMO’s Math vs FundedNext’s One-Day Pass
FundedNext’s Rapid evaluation is the easier structure to pass and it isn’t close. No minimum days, no consistency rule, no daily loss limit on Pro — a single $3,000 session on the 50K passes you, and the funded account is issued from there. The trap is the other direction: at $100K the target is $5,000 against a $2,500 drawdown, a 2:1 ratio that punishes anyone who starts with a losing week.
FTMO has no minimum days and no time limit either, but the consistency rule sets a floor on how fast you can pass. On Growth, no single day can be more than 40% of your total profit, so the fastest possible pass is three profitable days (say $1,200, $1,000 and $800). On Pro it’s 50%, so two days ($1,500 and $1,500). A breach of the consistency rule isn’t a fail — you keep trading until the ratio corrects — but a one-day pass is impossible on either FTMO account. On Pro, the hard $1,000 daily limit is a fail: one bad session ends the evaluation and the subscription keeps running.
Contract limits favour FTMO slightly at $50K (5 minis vs 4) and clearly at $100K (10 vs 6). Both count micros at ten to a mini. Once funded, FTMO starts you at 2 minis on the 50K and scales to 5 as your end-of-day balance grows — and scales you back down if it shrinks.
Payout Rules: Bigger Cheques at FTMO, Faster Cheques at FundedNext
This is where the two firms are most different, and where the numbers on a pricing page tell you the least. Work through the same $2,000 of profit on a 50K account at each:
- FTMO Growth: you need four qualifying days — closed days with $150 or more of profit — before you can request. You may withdraw 50% of your profit, so $1,000 of the $2,000, under the $2,500 cap. At the 90/10 ratio you receive $900; $1,000 stays in the account as your buffer.
- FTMO Pro: five qualifying days at $200 or more, then 100% of profit is withdrawable under the $5,000 cap. You receive $1,800. The catch FTMO itself warns about: a full withdrawal drops your balance back to $50,000, which is exactly where your drawdown locked — your next losing trade breaches. Leave a cushion.
- FundedNext Rapid Pro: after three days you request. The cap is $1,200 a request, so the first request pays 90% of $1,200 — $1,080 — and the remaining $800 goes out three days later at $720. $1,800 total across two requests, with the 40% funded consistency rule in force: if $1,500 of that $2,000 came on one day, you wait until your total profit is high enough for that day to fall under 40%.
- FundedNext Rapid Daily: same caps and split, requested on consecutive days instead of three days apart, with no consistency rule at any stage. $1,080 on day one, $720 on day two.
So on the same profit, FTMO Pro and FundedNext both put $1,800 in your pocket — FundedNext does it in days, FTMO Pro does it in one cheque after five qualifying sessions. FTMO Growth pays you the least and holds back the most. Where FTMO pulls ahead is scale: a hot month on Pro 100K can go out as a single $6,000 request, while Rapid 100K is metered at $2,500 a time. FTMO also requires that at least half of any request be profit earned in the current cycle, and a payout request closes all open positions and orders. FundedNext’s minimum for a request is the cap logic itself; there are no benchmark days on Rapid, unlike its Legacy and Flex accounts.
Neither firm offers daily payouts on every account. If that’s the feature you’re buying, it’s FundedNext Rapid Daily here — or see the full list of futures prop firms with daily payouts.
Same Platforms, Same Close, Same Instruments Policy
You’ll trade the same screens at either firm: Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView, unlocked together on one set of credentials. Both firms run a hard daily flatten at the same moment — FTMO writes it as 4:10 p.m. ET, FundedNext as 3:10 p.m. CT — with open positions auto-liquidated and no overnight or weekend holding on any account. News trading is allowed at both with no restrictions. FTMO includes Level 1 data and does not offer Level 2 or a DOM feed on its credentials at any price, which matters if you trade the ladder on NinjaTrader; check FundedNext’s data options for your platform before you buy if depth-of-market is core to your method. FTMO’s symbol list is 30 CME products — the equity indices, metals, energies, FX and micro crypto — with no Treasuries and no ags.
Scale, Accounts and the Road to Real Capital
FundedNext lets you hold unlimited challenge accounts up to a combined $750,000 of allocation, five active funded accounts at a time, and issues at most ten funded accounts to one trader in a calendar month. FTMO allows unlimited evaluations (each on its own subscription) but caps you at three Sim-Funded accounts across both products — $450,000 if you take three 150Ks. Copy-trading between your own accounts is a rules question at both firms, so read each firm’s copying policy before you run a copier; FTMO’s forbids copying across separate registrations outright.
Both firms have a real-capital tier above the sim-funded account. FTMO’s Live Funded account is invitation-only after FTMO reviews your Sim-Funded record — a one-time buffer, then daily uncapped payouts at 90/10 with only the max drawdown rule left. FundedNext runs a Live account tier of its own for proven funded traders. Neither is something you can buy your way into; they’re earned.
Track Record: A Decade at FTMO, a Payout in Hand at FundedNext
FTMO has paid traders more than $650 million since 2015 and its Trustpilot score sits at 4.8 — but every dollar of that and every review behind it is from the CFD challenge. FTMO Futures is weeks old, has processed no publicly documented futures payouts, and I have not completed a cycle there yet. What you’re buying is a ten-year reputation, the OANDA acquisition behind it, and a contract that locks your rules and price for the life of your account. That is more than most futures launches offer. It is not the same as proof.
FundedNext Futures has that proof. I’ve passed, been funded and been paid there, and the withdrawal is documented on the FundedNext Futures review. It’s the reason FundedNext sits in Tier 1 of our futures prop firm rankings while FTMO enters at Tier 2 until its futures side has a track record of its own. I’ll move FTMO the day that changes.
Where FTMO Wins, Where FundedNext Wins
Line FundedNext vs FTMO up feature by feature and the split is clean.
FTMO Futures wins on:
- Per-request caps — $5,000 on Pro 50K and $6,000 on Pro 100K, against $1,200 and $2,500 at FundedNext.
- 100% of profit withdrawable on Pro, with no consistency rule after funding on either account.
- Cost if you pass fast — $119 all-in on Growth 50K inside month one.
- A no-daily-limit evaluation with no funded consistency (Growth) — a combination FundedNext doesn’t sell.
- Contract size at $100K (10 minis vs 6).
- Locked rules and pricing for the life of the account, in writing.
FundedNext Futures wins on:
- Speed of payment — every three days on Rapid Pro, daily on Rapid Daily, against four or five qualifying days at FTMO.
- A one-day pass with no evaluation consistency rule and no minimum days.
- No daily loss limit at any stage on Rapid Pro — FTMO Growth’s soft funded limit still costs you the rest of the day.
- One-time pricing — no meter running while you take your time.
- Five funded accounts and $750,000 of challenge allocation, against FTMO’s three.
- A futures payout track record, including mine.
Which One Should You Pick?
Pick FundedNext Rapid if you want to be paid fast and often, you’d rather pass on a good day than build a consistent week, and you don’t want a subscription ticking while you work. Rapid Pro if a daily loss limit is a dealbreaker and you can keep your winning days under 40% of the total; Rapid Daily if you’d trade a $1,000 daily limit for daily payouts and no consistency rule ever. For most futures traders reading this, that’s the account.
Pick FTMO Pro if you already trade with a hard daily stop, you want the biggest single payouts of the four and every dollar of profit withdrawable, and you’re confident you’ll pass inside a month. Pick FTMO Growth if you want a no-daily-limit evaluation with no funded consistency rule and you can accept withdrawing half your profit at a time — and if you’re the trader who wants a decade-old name on the account even before the futures payout record exists.
If you’re still torn, the tiebreaker is the daily loss limit. Decide whether you can live with a hard one. That single answer removes two of the four accounts.
Use code DGT at checkout at either firm. At FTMO it applies the maximum discount available whenever one is running (FTMO discount page); at FundedNext it applies the current Rapid discount (FundedNext discount page).

FTMO Futures vs FundedNext Futures FAQ
Is FTMO Futures cheaper than FundedNext Futures?
Only if you pass fast. FTMO Growth 50K is $119 a month and the subscription stops when you pass, so a first-month pass costs $119 total. FundedNext Rapid 50K is $159 once with code DGT, however long you take. From month two onward FTMO costs more, and a breached FTMO account is replaced at the next billing date at full price unless you cancel. Neither firm charges an activation fee.
Which evaluation is easier to pass, FTMO Growth or FundedNext Rapid?
FundedNext Rapid, at the $50K size. Both have a $3,000 target and a $2,000 end-of-day drawdown, but Rapid has no consistency rule, no minimum days and a one-day pass, and Rapid Pro has no daily loss limit. FTMO Growth's 40% consistency rule means the quickest possible pass is three profitable days. At $100K the picture flips: FundedNext's $5,000 target against a $2,500 drawdown is a 2:1 ratio, tougher than FTMO Growth's $6,000 against $3,500.
Does FTMO or FundedNext pay out faster?
FundedNext. Rapid Daily pays every day and Rapid Pro every three days, with no benchmark days. FTMO Sim-Funded accounts need four qualifying days of $150+ (Growth) or five of $200+ (Pro) before each request, and the request closes your open positions. FTMO's per-request caps are larger — $2,500 on Growth 50K and $5,000 on Pro 50K against $1,200 at FundedNext — so on a big month FTMO Pro moves more money in fewer cheques.
Which of these accounts has no consistency rule at all?
FundedNext Rapid Daily — none in the evaluation and none once funded. FTMO Growth and Pro have a consistency rule in the evaluation only (40% and 50%) and none after funding, and a breach there isn't a fail; you keep trading until the ratio corrects. FundedNext Rapid Pro is the reverse: none in the evaluation, 40% in the funded account.
Which account has no daily loss limit?
FundedNext Rapid Pro has none at any stage. FTMO Growth has none in the evaluation but a soft $1,000 limit (on the 50K) once funded — you're flattened and done for the day, not closed. FTMO Pro has a hard $1,000 limit at every stage, and FundedNext Rapid Daily a $1,000 limit at every stage. Limits scale with size: $1,500 on FTMO Pro 100K and $1,250 on Rapid Daily 100K.
Can I trade FTMO Futures and FundedNext Futures at the same time?
Yes. Neither firm restricts you from holding accounts elsewhere. Within each firm the limits are three Sim-Funded accounts at FTMO and five active funded accounts at FundedNext (with $750,000 of challenge allocation and ten funded accounts per calendar month). Copying trades between your own accounts is governed by each firm's own policy, so read it before running a copier across the two.
Do FTMO and FundedNext use the same trading platforms?
Yes — Tradovate, NinjaTrader and TradingView at both, on one set of credentials, with the same daily flatten at 4:10 p.m. ET (3:10 p.m. CT) and no overnight or weekend holding. Neither futures product runs on MetaTrader. FTMO includes Level 1 market data and does not offer Level 2 or DOM data on its credentials.
Has FTMO Futures paid anyone yet?
There are no publicly documented FTMO Futures payouts as of late September 2026. FTMO's $650 million in payouts and its 4.8 Trustpilot score are from the CFD challenge, which has run since 2015. FTMO Futures launched out of beta on September 17, 2026, and the first traders are still working through their first payout cycles — including me. FundedNext Futures, by contrast, has paid traders for over a year, and my own payout is documented on our FundedNext review.
Does code DGT work at both FTMO and FundedNext?
Yes. At FundedNext, code DGT applies the current Rapid discount at checkout. At FTMO, code DGT always applies the maximum discount FTMO is offering at the time; FTMO Futures launched with no promotion, so today it's the list price and it will apply automatically the moment one runs. Both links are on this page and on each firm's discount page.
